My name is Pete Earsman. I am married to Lauren and we have 2 Akitas, Biku & Kuma and an African Grey parrot, Kasuku, and a cat named Mr G. I am 49 years young and have lived in the US for 6 years. I am originally from New Zealand, but have spent 26 years living in Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, South East Asia, the Middle East, & Europe, and the US.
I was in the New Zealand Army for 8 years. I signed up as teenager and trained as an Infantryman and as a Physical Training Instructor - my first real taste of fitness training. I also played rugby for many years, like all New Zealand boys, from the early age of 5 until my early 30’s. I played for the New Zealand Army, the West Australian Rugby Union and Rugby League teams. I also played 2 seasons in England for the Clifton Rugby Club, the world's second oldest club, plus a season in Canada with the Edmonton Pirates. I have moved on to coaching now and am currently the head coach for the University of North Carolina.
My Fitness Philosophy
I have had many occupations over the years -- gold mining, construction, commercial fishing, and personal secruity, it is fitness that I find most rewarding.
I believe in simple and balanced fitness -- no bells and whistles when we work together. Exercise should be safe and fun, and correct form is paramount. I do not allow injuries when working out and I believe that every accident can be avoided with foresight, planning and good communication.
My philosophy on physical fitness is simple. Have fun and look forward to every workout!
